Eddie Francis - Chairman

Eddie Francis, board chair of Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders, joined the organization in 2014 before assuming leadership in 2016. He is a talent acquisition professional with a background in mass media. After an award-winning radio career, Eddie took the post of public relations director at Southern University at New Orleans where he led an institutional branding campaign while more than quadrupling their positive news exposure. Because of his experience, Eddie was recruited by “The HBCU Nation Radio Show” to serve as a regular contributor to also host the HBCU Lifestyle Podcast which has been named a top 10 education podcast on Podbean three years in a row.

Ever passionate about talent acquisition, Eddie provides career advice on WYLD-FM's "Sunday Journal" radio show and publishes the blog “Lectures to Livelihood” for college students. He has also written for various outlets including The Huffington Post, The Ladders, LinkedIn, Careers in Government, and Social-Hire.com. The New Orleans native earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Loyola University New Orleans, and resides in Dallas with his wife and business partner, Halima Leak Francis.

 

HALIMA N. LEAK FRANCIS - Treasurer

Halima N. Leak-Francis is an advocate for philanthropy who believes deeply in the power of giving as a catalyst for positive social change.  She has over 15 years of non-profit expertise as a fundraising professional, volunteer, educator and scholar; and is dedicated to promoting the advancement of social justice through charitable giving and volunteerism.

 

Charlotte Key, ESQ. - Secretary

Charlotte Key, Esq., of Charlotte Key, PLLC, has practiced law for over 9 years focusing in commercial transactions and corporate governance. Charlotte's career goal is to not only provide excellent service but to educate clients in law and its impact on business and protection of family legacy. As a servant of her community, Charlotte Key has also been a guest speaker of YWCA, volunteer attorney, and President of Collin County Black Chamber of Commerce.

 

Dantrayl Smith, Ed.D. - Vice Chair

Dantrayl Smith, Ed.D. is a professional of education with over 8 years of experience working with students to prepare them for success. Author of three publications focusing on leadership and career development, Dantrayl serves his community through educating the youth and has served on ITL's Board of Directors for 2 year.

 

Neelu Smith - Board Member

Neelu Sethi brings 22+ years of experience across Consumer-Product-Groups, Hospitality, Healthcare and Textile industries. Currently serving as a CIO of ReddyIce, she brings vision, leadership, and direction to our organization. Neelu has been invited as a guest speaker to a dozen leadership events and continues to inspire her community.
